REV CHALLOTTE AKUA ADOMA BOATENG OF HOLY SPIRIT CONGREGATION, ASENSO KYEKYEWERE IN THE BEKWAI DISTRICT.
The Chichi Fening Foundation has been commended for using its free medical screening outreach not only to improve the health of community members but also as a powerful tool for evangelism and winning souls for Christ.
Speaking during the Foundation's free medical screening exercise, Rev. Mrs. Charlotte Akua Adoma Boateng of the Holy Spirit Congregation, Asenso Kyekyewere, in the Bekwai District, described this year's outreach as highly successful, citing the overwhelming turnout of beneficiaries.
According to the minister, children and other community members began arriving at the screening venue as early as 5:00 a.m., reflecting the growing confidence the public has developed in the Foundation's healthcare initiative.
Rev. Mrs. Boateng observed that, unlike many free medical outreach programmes that eventually require beneficiaries to pay for medications, the Chichi Fening Foundation honoured its promise by providing genuinely free healthcare services. She explained that many residents initially approached the program with skepticism due to past experiences with similar initiatives. However, after receiving free consultations, medications, and other healthcare services without any charges, beneficiaries shared their experiences with others in the community, leading to a steady increase in attendance.
She noted that beyond providing healthcare, the Foundation's outreach has become an effective platform for evangelism. According to her, the program creates opportunities to share the Gospel and draw people closer to Christ, making it a valuable means of winning souls for the Presbyterian Church while addressing the physical needs of the people.
Rev. Mrs. Charlotte Akua Adoma Boateng expressed gratitude to the Chichi Fening Foundation for its commitment to serving humanity and prayed for God's continued blessings upon the organization. She appealed for increased support and resources to enable the Foundation to sustain and expand its humanitarian and evangelistic mission to benefit more communities.
